The P.I.E. “POD2” interfaces....giving you a wider variety of iPod control possibilities and preferences!

The VW/PC-POD2 interface works with many 1998-2006 VW vehicles pre-wired for a factory CD changer (see Specific Vehicle Application List below). It is a redesign of P.I.E.'s popular iPOD interface that now gives you the best of both worlds; iPOD control through the factory radio using the CD changer controls of your factory radio, or iPOD control through the iPOD itself. This device will also charge your iPOD while it is connected to your vehicle and will pause the iPOD whenever the radio is not in the simulated iPOD mode, which is CD changer mode on your factory radio.

With this single interface, you can listen to, charge, and control just about any version of the Apple iPod through the CD changer controls of your OEM radio. Simply plug the iPOD into the provided dock cable and enjoy your iPod music library. Control of the iPOD is now accomplished through both the CD changer/steering wheel controls of your OEM radio, and the iPOD itself, to go through your playlists, sort by artist or genre or use any other iPOD control function.

The device connects through the 12-pin CD changer connector located in the rear of the vehicle. With one simple connection, you will get the digital sound quality in your audio system and charge your iPod at the same time.

Compatibility Information:

Compatible with all 1998 - 2006 model VWs that are pre-wired for a CD changer in the rear of the vehicle

Compatible with the iPOD Classic, iPOD mini, iPOD nano, G3, G4, and G5 iPODs, plus the 1st generation iPhone™. Note: The new 3G iPhone and new iPOD Touch and iPOD nano-chromatic will work with this interface but the devices will NOT charge when connected!

Plugs into the pre-wired CD changer 12-pin connector located in the rear driver side of the vehicle

Comes with an extra long iPOD cable that will reach from the CD changer connectors in the rear of the vehicle all the way to the dash area in the passenger compartment of your VW.
