The site indicated that it was compatible with my 2005 Ford Explorer. When I made the order it explicitly stated that the part number I ordered was compatible for years 1998-2005. However, upon attempting to install it at a shop, they realized the package indicated it was only compatible for year 1998-2004. After attempting to install it unsuccessfully I called PIE (the manufacturer) and they were kind enough to send me a chip for free that was supposed to replace the current chip to make it compatible. After a 2nd trip to the shop for installation it is still not working. So not only did I spend money on the part but for two separate installations that failed. Thats a lot of money ($100) to spend on failed installs on top of the parts. ($169). I am very confused about their return policy. I had to purchase some return shipping for $2 as they say it is a no questions asked return policy if I ordered the wrong item or didnt want it for some reason. Whats up with that. I also read some other comments about someone ordering parts that they didnt need and wanted to return them. Logjam refused to do so, The PIE Ford 03/Aux/S item pretty much works as promised with it being easier to control through the IPOD. The sound is better through the IPOD than the CD player or radio. I did have the IPOD cut out after a day and customer service had me call PIE the vendor. The vendor said this should not happen and had me reset it by removing the battery ground cable.
